The Two Paths

Every regular turtle walks one of two roads — Pristine or Forged. The choice is yours, and once you choose Forged, there is no coming back. (A third, curated path exists for the seven Legendaries — admin-minted, never forge-able, capped above both.)

Pristine — the patient road

You hold. You wait. The shell grows older. The share grows larger.

• Starts at 1.0 share
• Grows +0.7 share per week while held in the wallet that minted it
• Caps at 10.0 shares — the maximum any turtle can reach
• ~13 weeks (~3 months) from mint to fully matured

The catch: if you transfer or sell a Pristine turtle before it caps, its share resets to 1.0 in the new wallet. The clock starts over.

The reward: once a Pristine turtle reaches 10.0 shares, the share locks in. From that moment on, it can be transferred, sold, traded — and the share goes with it. Permanent. Forever.

Forged — the burning road

You don't wait. You burn. You take another turtle and feed it to one you choose.

• Triggered the first time you call forge
• The sacrificed turtle is destroyed (supply drops)
• The surviving turtle gains 50% of the sacrifice's current share
• Caps at 9.0 shares — one full share below the Pristine cap

The catch: once a turtle is Forged, it is Forged forever. There is no path back to Pristine. No ritual undoes the fire.

The reward: a Forged turtle's share is permanent from day one. Transfer it, sell it, trade it — it keeps every share it has earned.

Long term, the holder wins

The patient holder always reaches 10 shares. The active burner caps at 9. The holder ends with +1 share, permanent, forever.

This is by design. The contract enforces it.
